Why Does My Violin Keep Getting Out of Tune?
In order to keep violins in tune, we usually recommend students to purchase a small bottle of peg drops. They usually cost between $5-10 and will help keep your violin in tune. From our experience, peg drops are especially needed for new violins since the wood needs to 'settle'.
Tips-
1) Apply peg drops to where the peg touches the violin scroll. For a violin, there are a total of 8 places where the peg and scroll touch.
